Right now the Prize List for the different tourneys at the party
is available for you. Sad but true, we've had to cancel the Fifa 98 tourney, due to the imposibility of
organizing such tourney with a little of control (hardware deppendent gamespeed, lack of synch, etc...). Besides,
we've got a new comference by Pedro Prestel, Product Marketing
Manager at 3Com Iberia, and some minor changes in the torneys rules.

Well, well... it seems we have a news overload now! First of all, today we've had a great paella
at Sirul house (valencian blood runs through the veins of some of us ;-). Due to this, we have had an informal meeteing,
in which we've talked long about a lot of subject, so let's brief it up for you:
- Thanks to the BIG help and inconditional support of the injuve,
you won't have to care about dinner on Thursday 30th... It's also included in the price!! ;-)
We're not going to let you loose one only pound at the campus ;-)
- We've got the first draft of the Official Schedule,
so you can start wondering what is going to take place there. The staff is going to work theirselves out
(and this time is true) to accomplish it to the max. Warning: that includes respecting the entrance time
too, so you shouldn't arrive at the ceulaj sooner than 17:00 on Thursday 30th with your computer if
you don't want to get a lot of sun ;-)
- Due to popular demand... ok, the staff is giving a comference. Right now we don't
have a clue of the subject and all of that, but we've got the title: "The way things get done, or something..".
- And also due to popular demand... we all know how hungry a person can be at 4:00 AM, in the middle
of a game, so we are going to try to bring vending machines on almost anything (sandwiches, cans, bakery, juices,
pop corns, candy, coffe, tea, tobaco, con....gelated food, etc...) near the pavillion for the needs ;-)
- We're starting having some european partners... The first one booked his room on 26th of June at 13:23 (local time)
from England. Furthermore, it's quite sure for our dudes from The Gathering to come to the party,
and we have heard something like the prize for one of the most important german quake contest is a travel to the party
for the whole clan; local quakers must start training hard: it seems the fight will have
continental dimensions ;-)
Apart from all this, we've got some little surprises, but sadly I'm not allowed to say anything at the
web until it becomes official };-) Ah! I almost forget it... We've been given the
Lupa de Oro prize to the 10 best web pages. Thanks to everyone who
voted as, and to everyone who lend a hand on making the web.

After a nice walk through the CEULAJ, we've found 2 great surprises. The first one is
the camping lookalike. They're working tough on it, with the latest camping technology (3
layer cushioned floor, light and water points on each tent, brand new toilets with showers
and all of that, ...). The second one is that we have 10 extra double rooms for you, so the
double rooms form is open again. If anyone has a camping booking and want to change it by
a double room one, it VERY IMPORTANT for him to state it on the "Tell me your life" field;
we'll treat his particular case personally via e-mail.
Aside, we've been talking via IRC with The Gathering
staff, and they're very interested in comming to the campus FROM NORWAY!!! They have got
astonished with the place and the organization (and the SUN ;-), so after all we'll have some
european partners at the campus.

We've got another bunch of cancellations: 3 double rooms. If you want to beg for one ;-), send us an
e-mail.
These rooms will be asigned to the best "Tell me your life" amongst the aplicants ;-) , and the asignment will be confirmed by e-mail (giving the account
number and all that); this is, if you don't get any reply, don't count with that room ;-). Don't forget to give us all the important data, ie. id card no., address, phone, e-mail, nick & clan of each
of the applicants in the room (that's very important), and a nice "tell me your life" ;-)
Aside, we've got yet another nice-looking comference. Jesús Ángel Hernández de Rojas and Eduardo de la Puente Merino,
both from the GUI, will talk us about "OpenGL & PovRay: two different ways of seeing in 3D". If I were you,
sure I won't miss this one! ;-)
And BTW, tourney sign up, notices, etc... will all work through the local WWW server, so having a properly configurated web
browser is a must (and if you can avoid using Lynx, much better! ;-)

After all the flamming & mailbombing to Neco by the whole quaker community in
less than 2 days, our organization decides BY POPULAR DEMAND to set speed to 400
in all the quake tournies, SO ALL WILL DISAGREE, and everybody must start
training again at this new speed.

By popular decission, Quake settings has been changed. From now, sv_speed will be 450, instead of 350, in all
the tourneys. Besides, we are now getting feedback from most german and french clans, so with a little bit
of luck we'll be able to have an european quake contest ;-)

¡¡We are 200!! This is working great, inscriptions keep on arriving non-stop, we're working
out 'till death, and the best new is that all this goes on! With these people (you!), we'll have 1000 soon! ;-)

And at last but not least, we have finished translating the whole web page (hope you like it ;-) and almost
toped triple rooms reservations too. BTW, there has been some changes in the rules of Quake 1 vs 1, Warcraft ][ and Starcraft
tourneys. Please, have a look at the tourneys page for all the details.
BTW, don't care about that "almost toped triple rooms reservations too". NOW! triple rooms are fully booked: SKaRCHa finished'em up at 20:40:00.
But don't worry, we're starting to receive some cancellations. Right now we've got 2 simple &

We've got another comference! Juan Pérez Mercader has comfirmed yet
his presence at Campus P@RTY '98, straight from the INTA (National Institute of Aerospatial Technology).
You shouldn't miss this one! ;-)
We've just exhausted the double rooms also! Once again, thanks to you all, and we hope all goes on this way so
we'll be able to organize the biggest party ever seen ;-)

And we go on with the good news ;-) Cybergame
of Madrid is attending to the party AS A WHOLE!!! As it couldn't be any other way, they, besides having a really cool place as you can see at their website and
being some cool ENREDers (and partysers to the bone), will rent buses to come to the event, so that Madrid people congratulate again! You couldn't say you didn't have enough
facilities to come ;-) Have a look at their web, as for the buses as for the rest of the content,
these people r00lz 8-D~~~~
And as expected, single rooms have been fully booked in four days time, so the rest of you or by couples, or trios ;-) or camping. Well, you can always pray for
a cancellation (i don't think so ;-).

Ok, and just like the truth is for telling, thanks to all of you which on 3 days of booking
form we have beaten Fragapalooza, which is supposed to have 10.000 hits and 105 signed
from 7 of May (looks like reloads works fine ? X-DDDD). Keep this way and i'll have to make
the english version of the web. ;-)

At least, the Grupo Universitario de Informática de Valladolid (GUI)
have a web page for the travel on bus to Campus P@RTY '98. Look the web, its sure more than one may feel interested.
And other thing is great is the way are people signed with the subscriptions.;-) The Single Rooms are about to be
fully booked, the double ones are going to finish too, and the triple romms are begining to be sold.;-)

We keep on with the explanations ;-) For you to see that sometimes we improve with ours mistakes, this year the people could keep
on his own rooms/camping place the sunday night too, so you dont have to get into the travel as soon as the sunday ends, torn up from
4 party days :)

On request to your questions we are going to make a short FAQ ;-)
- Last year you told that people who repeat have a discount of 30% ;-) What´s happening with it?
- Right, and with the good conversations with sponsors, it will be not only for people that repeat, instead !ALL!.
Instead of three days (2 nights), this year we have 4 days (and 4 nights) paying exactly the same that last year.
- About Netspain, if i signed up, they give me 3 months of free conecction? Totally free?
- Netspain will give you account on its server, this is, a login and a pass. The telephone calls those three months
must to pay it yourself. (it sounds quite obvious when seen on black and white, isn't it?)

At least, the Game Club (Madrid) has written their web page about the bus to
Campus P@RTY '98. Have a look at it, surelly more than one of you will get interested,
at http://www.ctv.es/gameclub.
And as you could see, on five hours with booking form only he have 40 people signed up. If you dont make it fast the
rooms will be all finished on three days ;-)

Right with our plans JUST NOW! We have finished for you the booking
form to sign up. We updated the pages about Quake tournament, Quake Rocket Arena, ¡¡QUAKE 1v1!! (yeah, Neco at least
get with a method to do it), more things about the falls on Quake Deathmatch, updates
about Warcraft II and Starcraft, the signed up list, and I think nothing else (arf, arf...).
And BTW, althought the signed up list is sort by province to help you come to the party,
we must say that the first signed up was YvainQ (the guy was very ilussionated abt. this! ;-).
Another thing, the Grupo Universitario de Valladolid (8-mmmm, it reminds me something...), besides organizing a bus
to come to the party (have a look at Reaching the PArty) are the programmers of
2M (yes!, that was it!), the 2 Mb diskette formatter. They'll probably show us the new version at the party,
and such things ought not to be missed (and, what abt. formatting my ZIP disk at 200 Mb? ;-)

Ya tenemos una foto en condiciones para la home, gracias a la amable cesión de Rafael Marchante, fotógrafo de El País
y un tio de pm ;-) No me digais que no flipa la foto! Ademas, ya teneis a vuestra disposición más información sobre las instalaciones
del Ceulaj en las que seguro pasareis unos de los días más inolvidables de vuestra vida 8-) Y por cierto,
la gente de Valladolid ya tiene tambien viaje organizado a la campus; ponte en contacto con el Grupo Universitario
de Valladolid para más información sobre las reservas y demás, aunque prometen en breve tener una web donde explicarlo todo.

Por fin teneis algo menos etereo sobre los torneos y demás en la web, aunque no está terminado al 100%. Como veis, falta tanto
la Formula 1, como los simuladores, fifa y Linux, pero por algo se empieza. Además, echadle un ojo al ¿como llegar?, porque ya se están
organizando los primeros viajes para venir a la party desde Barcelona (Club Giga) y Madrid (Game Club).
Y por supuesto, si estas organizando o pensando organizar un autobus desde tu ciudad para venir a la party,
no dudes en ponernos un mail para anunciarlo
en la web y facilitar a la gente venir a este inolvidable evento ;-)

Bueno, ya estamos de vuelta del superviaje virtual. Yastamos un poco más sordos, más cansaos, más pobres y odiamos un poco más
el McDonald's ;-) Además de todo, el Ka-ka de Neco cascó en Barcelona, y la mitad de ENRED tuvo que bajar en tren. Por otra parte,
6 de cada 8 integrantes se abrasaron en la Formula 1 al estar 4 horas bajo el sol de plano, debido a las ansias de los 2 integrantes que faltan de ver
el "warmak" ("warm-up" para los de murcia), consistente en no ver un solo cacharro con ruedas dar una sola vuelta durante dichas
4 horas.
Aparte de eso, el viaje cojonudo, sobre todo el papeo en una sidreria madrileña QTC, los Pan's & Co (cuando oo se decidirán
a ponerlos en Málaga?) y los "lloms virtuells" de Barna. Y por cierto, enhorabuena a los barceloneses, tienen una ciudad to pera (o "tot pereta", en lengua
bernácula) ;-)

A ver, un puñaillo de cosas. Como vereis, estamos remodelando a muerte la web, para que quede to pera; esta es la
principal razón de que hayamos estado casi una semana sin noticias y claro, ahora se nos acumulan.
Tal día como hoy, Canal C: emite a las 19:00 el especial Ben-Al PARTY 2... ¿saldremos todos guapos?
seguro que si, aunque la cámara no hace milagros ;-). Y hablando de teles, otra de las cosas que tenemos que hacer en los
madriles es un debate en el programa Red 2000 de Via Digital (me imagino que sobre las partys), asi que esta semana
vais a tener ENRED hasta en la sopa. 8-P
A partir del Viernes salimos en gira nacional ;-) a rebuscar sponsors,
tanto en los madriles como en BCN. Bueno, si, vale, ya que estamos iremos a ver la Formula 1 to perita, pero que conste
que la coincidencia de fechas no es premeditada O;-). Asi que hasta el lunes, a no ser que pillemos un portátil con módem
y móvil (y un webmaster con ganas), no habrá más noticias. ;-)

Bueno, bueno, bueno... y ¡seguimos con las buenas noticias! Atención señores, porque NetSpain, el primer
servidor de internet con tarifa plana, esta dispuesto a REGALAR cuentas de acceso durante 3 meses a su servidor a los 500 (si, no sobra un cero
ni nada, son QUINIENTOS) primeros apuntados a la Campus P@RTY '98. Así que estaos muy muy atentos en cuanto pongamos el
formulario de inscripción. Y por cierto, si el año pasado volaron las plazas, este año imaginaos, asi que no nos
perdais de vista ;-)

Acabamos de pegarle otro gran empujón a la página web. Ya teneis subido tanto la página íntegra de la Ben-Al Party 2,
como la mayoría de las secciones de esta. Desgraciadamente, todavía seguis sin poder inscribiros, pero lo arreglaremos en breve.

Como veis ya estamos aquí otra vez, despues de la Ben Al Party 2, ya estamos
liados con la Campus P@RTY '98. Estamos preparando todos los contenidos
de la Web para que en breve podais informaros de todo lo que querais saber sobre la Campus. En esta sección
iremos poniendo puntualmente todas las noticias que se vayan produciendo
a lo largo de los 97 días que faltan para que se abran las puertas de
la Campus P@RTY '98.
Y para estrenar las noticias, que mejor que una buena. Este
año la Campus va a ser un poquito más larga,
ya que la Campus P@RTY '97 se nos hizo cortita ;-) , este año vamos
a tener 4 días , para que no nos falte tiempo para realizar todas las competiciones
que va a haber. Eso quiere decir, entrada el 30 de Julio y salida el 2
de Agosto. O sea, toda una marathon informática tanto para los asistentes como para
la organización ;-)
